Our Eternal Home

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 (NKJV)

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour we receive the gift of eternal life.

Jesus then begins to prepare a place for us in eternity. John 14:2 says, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

We cannot begin to imagine what that place will be like, for it will be far more beautiful than anything that now exists here on earth.  “But as it is written: eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9)  We can see many incredible things here on earth but nothing can begin to compare with what we will see then!  There are many inspiring sounds that we can now enjoy but these are just a small for foretaste of the wonderful sounds that we will enjoy for all eternity.

There will be no more sorrow, crying or death in that place God is preparing for us.  Revelation 21:4 is an encouraging passage: “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

I am sure that we have all lost many loved ones who we greatly miss. The day is coming when we will meet them again. What a wonderful reunion that will be!  Imagine never again will we have to say goodbye!

What a wonderful future we all have to look forward to in our Eternal Home!

Prayer
Father God, thank you for loving us so much that you sent Jesus to this earth to live a perfect life and then to die to pay the price of all our sins so that we could be with You for evermore.
Amen
