Think On These Things

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

Our thoughts can have a great effect on our lives and our bodies.  They can also affect our health!

We all need to guard our minds if we watch or listen to things that are not noble, just and pure—it can have a negative effect on our thoughts.  We all need to be selective as to what we allow our minds to dwell on.

We often fail when we depend on our own strength, but it is possible when we depend on Jesus to help and guide us through the power of the Holy Spirit!  As it says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

When we slip or fall He will always be there to pick us up and will carry us in His Loving arms!  There is a hymn I used to sing – ‘Follow, Follow I will Follow Jesus; Anywhere, everywhere I will Follow on.’

We all have a wonderful promise from God, whose Word says in Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with my eye.”

All we have to do is to keep our eyes on Jesus and to follow where He leads us through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer
Father, God, please help us to keep our eyes on Jesus and to follow in His footsteps.
Amen
