Filled With Love

“…to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
Ephesians 3:19 (NKJV)

John’s daughter Jane gave him a present.  It was wrapped in pretty gold paper.  When John opened the present he found nothing inside.  “Jane,” he said, “There is nothing in the box.”  “YES THERE IS, DAD! I blew lots of kisses into that box—it is filled with MY LOVE FOR YOU!”  John still has that box.  When he feels sad he gets out the box and remembers that it is filled with LOVE from his daughter!

Love is a basic human need.  Everyone needs to know that they are LOVED!
We can always depend on God’s Love, for he IS love!  (1 John 4:8)
God wants us to love each other, because He wants us to become like He is.  1 John 4:20 tells us that, “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”

We all go through trials at times and it is then that we need to show love for each other! Love is the thing that binds us together.

We need to be willing to give of our time and to listen and to pray for each other; to help and encourage each other in any way that we can.  It is important that we develop patience in our lives and be kind to each other in our words and in our actions!

Like Jane filled her box with love for her Dad, so we should fill our lives with love for God and love for each other.

Thank you for loving us so much that You sent Jesus to die in our place. Please help us through the power of the Holy Spirit to love You and to love each other.
