Enduring The Trials Of Life

“We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22 (NKJV)

In our Christian walk with Jesus Christ, we are promised trials and problems, and we will get them.  It is part of the package.

When we go through difficult times, people can pray for us, sympathise with us and they do.  That is good for them and us.

However, God always accomplishes more with us than we possibly realise. Our approach to trials and troubles in life can encourage and inspire others.  People seeing you go through a difficulty can be uplifted by your example of courage and stoicism, and think that if you can endure through that trial, maybe I can too!

In Hebrews 11 we are told of many very inspiring examples of faith, recorded for our learning and benefit.  So we have the written record to live by.  However, there is nothing quite like a living example in your very own congregation, some one that you know and are praying for, to stimulate and stir up your faith.

Therefore, by your personal trial, others can be encouraged and inspired too.

Father in Heaven, help us to follow the example of our elder brother, Jesus Christ, as we patiently endure the trials we face in life.
