Controlling Our Minds

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

Dale Carnegie said it isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.

When we keep our mind on positive things we act in a positive way.
When we keep our mind on negative things that is the way that we act.
As it says in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, what ever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Satan wants to steal, kill, and to destroy, and he will try to get us to think on negative things!  We need to aware of this and always be on our guard!

Jesus wants us to live and enjoy life to the full and think on positive things!  He warned us in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  Jesus will enable us to do this through the Power of the Holy Spirit!  Read 2 Corinthians 3:18:  “But we all, with open face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Help us to keep our minds on the things that are pure, Father in Heaven, the things that are holy and good.
