Wait On The Lord

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings of eagles. They shall run and shall not be weary they shall walk and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

To wait on the Lord is to yield all our life to Jesus.  He is the potter and we are the clay, as we read in Isaiah 64;8, “But now O Lord You are our Father; We are the clay, and You are the potter and we are all the work of your hand.”

Before a potter can make a beautiful pot, the clay as to be supple in his hand and all hard lumps have to be removed. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we all have a lot of hard lumps in our lives and we must allow Jesus to remove them through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

God does not want golden vessels or silver vessels He wants YIELDED vessels!!

Matthew 6:33 exhorts us to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  We must surrender all to Jesus. He must be FIRST in our lives—second place WILL NOT DO!! When we do this, the fruits of the Spirit will be manifested in our lives, for Jesus will be living His life through us!!  Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

When we wait on the Lord He will renew our strength and we will mount up with wings of eagles.  We will run and not be weary, we shall walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31). Alleluia!!

Father in Heaven, help us to yield to you and put you first in our lives.  Please reveal to us if there is anything in our life that we have not surrendered to Jesus.
