How God Views Us

“O Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank Godthrough Jesus Christ our Lord!”
Romans 7:24-25 (NKJV)

As Christians, we all have our faults that seem to appear at the worst possible moment.

One of mine is that as far as having tact goes, I make a ‘bull in a china shop’ sound like a fairy tip-toeing on daisies.  I do not intend to offend or upset people, but often those I like and love get hurt the most. I just find that I cannot stop my mouth from opening when it should be quite firmly shut!

I know that James 3:8 says, “But no man can tame the tongue.  It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”  And I continue to ask God for wisdom as it urges in James 1:5—“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”  In the meantime I can rest in God’s assurance, because fortunately for me, it is only people who see this fault and get caught up in the mess I make, for God only sees Christ. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

This is all God sees when He looks at us—and for me this has to be one of the biggest blessings of being a Christian.

Prayer
Dear Father, how wonderful it is that when you see me, I am covered by the righteousness of Your Son.  I pray for wisdom, but as I live my life for Christ, thank you for the grace you continue to extend every moment of our lives.
Amen

    Hello Rosemary
Yes it is wonderful to know that God sees us as righteous even though we make mistakes. However if we read all of James 3 we will see that it is not a good thing to offend with the tongue. We ourselves cannot tame the tongue as James says, in other words man cannot tame the tongue. King David must have the same problem but he also had the simple solution. Psalm 141 :3 tells us what to do. This will show love to our friends and family it is simple just ask and keep ourselves out of trouble Proverbs 21 : 23
    This will help John.
