Reasons To Praise

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

Since what we think eventually comes out of our mouths, we will never get our mouths straightened out unless we do something about our thoughts!

There are many things to be thankful for if we decide we are going to be a person who continually offers up thanksgiving.

The flesh looks for things to complain about, but the spirit searches for reasons to give God glory!

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) tells us, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

When we think positive thoughts we act in a positive way, but when we think negative thoughts we act in a negative way.

Each morning when we wake up we need to thank God for a new day, that we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and have His Spirit to guide, help and strengthen us in all that we do. We are not alone—His Spirit is always with us.  We all need to learn to listen and submit to His will!

When we slip and think, say, or do things that are not pleasing to God, we need to confess our sin and then continue in our Christian walk. We must not let Satan condemn us, as he is sure to try to do so!  We belong to God and He looks on us as His Holy Children not because of our perfect performance but because all of our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ!

In John 1:29 (NKJV) when John saw Jesus coming toward him, he said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  That’s a reason to Praise!

Father God, help us to learn to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit and submit to His will in our lives.
