Love Never Fails

“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV)

Why does God say, through the Apostle Paul, that out of faith, hope and love, love is the greatest .

Surely faith must come first. How can you learn of the love of God without first believing, in faith, that God is there?

Also, our faith in God and His promises gives us hope. Without faith in God we are hope-less.

So what is the answer to this conundrum? As human beings, very much in the flesh, we desperately need all three. However, once we are resurrected and in the Kingdom of God, with spiritual bodies, faith and hope are no longer needed!

Faith and hope are very much for this life. Once you are born into the presence of God, faith in God is no longer required, as you are now with and in Him. Our hope of eternal life is fulfilled, and no longer required.

Love is different. Love is the way we should conduct ourselves in this life and the way we will conduct ourselves with God and His children for all eternity. 1 Corinthians 13, verse 8 says ‘love never fails’—love will never stop. It will never cease….faith and hope will. That is why love is the greatest. It’s simple!

Loving heavenly Father, give us the faith and hope that we need in this life, but most of all, the love of God, now and forever.
