The Royal Baby Archie!

“But you are a chosen generation, a Royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

Members of the Royal family in U.K. are rejoicing over the news of the baby boy born to Prince Harry and Meghan. Indeed, it is good news for the U.K. There is much media coverage all around the world, especially because of the popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan. The Queen and Prince Phillip were overjoyed to see their 8th great grand child, who is 7th in line to the throne.

As I was writing this Day by Day, I had a glimpse of the baby Archie on TV news. Prince Harry and Meghan came out with their son, both parents beaming with broad smiles and they seemed over the moon. Meghan’s comment was, I have the two best guys in the world and Harry said, he is our bundle of joy. My best wishes and congratulations to both of them.

The scripture above calls Christians a Royal priesthood, and 1 John 3:1-2, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!…Beloved, now we are children of God.” As children of the future King of kings we have a glorious future as royal heirs. Truly, we are created to be part of His family, a great blessing, as described in Ephesians 1:3-4, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love”.

My prayer is for the Royal family and for the Queen, who has served the nation for many decades as the Monarch and head of the commonwealth of nations. May the blessing of God be upon the Royal Baby, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Father in heaven, I thank You for creating us to be part of Your family, choosing us to be a Royal priesthood. There is no greater blessing we can have. I love and praise You in Jesus’ name.
