A Legacy That Is Worthy Of The Lord

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:35 (NKJV)

What is our single greatest ambition in life?  Have you ever thought about that? If Jesus tarries and we live out our days what legacy will we leave behind? How will we be remembered?

I once read a story of a missionary in China who lived a life of such love and self-sacrifice that it softened the hardest hearts around her. Even men whose lives had been steeped in sin and cruelty, whose hearts were stubborn and scornful of the things of God, were won by the influence of this woman’s kind and gentle ways. Although she was just one small woman, by the time her life was through many had accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour because they saw the love of Jesus shining brightly through her love and kindness to others.

The Chinese had nicknamed her ‘THE ONE WHO LOVES’.

If people could say that of each one of us that would be the greatest legacy that we could ever leave!!

Prayer
Father, God, thank you for your unconditional love for us. Please help us through the power of the Holy Spirit to have an unconditional love for others.
Amen
